2018 Update

It’s been quiet on the writing front, and so I haven’t posted an update in a while. The plan has been to take a break for a while and focus on other creative endeavors. Still, there are a few announcements I’d like to make about the upcoming year.

As part of 2018 Women in Horror Month, I participated in a roundtable interview series hosted by Gwendolyn Kiste. I’ve had the pleasure of sharing a TOC with Gwendolyn on two occasions, and am beyond pleased that her debut fiction collection, AND HER SMILE WILL UNTETHER THE UNIVERSE, is a Bram Stoker Award Finalist. See what I and the other panelists had to say at Gwendolyn’s blog.

Next month, I will be in San Jose to attend THE OUTER DARK SYMPOSIUM ON THE GREATER WEIRD 2018. From the registration page:

“The Outer Dark Symposium on the Greater Weird is a one-of-a-kind immersive one-day event featuring approximately 12 hours of panels, readings, signings and social activities centered around contemporary Weird and speculative fiction. The second annual event will be held at the Winchester Mystery House, one of the Weirdest Places in the U.S. ”

If you’re interested in joining me, you can register here. But don’t wait too long –  attendance is limited to 75. If you can’t attend, but still want to help out and/or get some cool swag, check out the IndieGoGo Campaign.

Don’t forget to listen to The Outer Dark Podcast. Check out Episode 27: A Strange and Darksome Night to hear what the crew thought of my story “When Dark-Eyed Ophelia Sings.”

I have one new story currently scheduled for publication. “Beyond The Veil of Pretty Pink Lies” will appear in Pickman’s Gallery from Ulthar Press. I’ll post photos, links, and prices as soon as they are available. The full Table of Contents is below.

  • “A Photograph from Life” Robert M. Price

For the first time, my work is now available as an audio story. “From the Fertile Dark” is available to listen to for free at Psuedopod!

That’s it on the writing front. At the start of the post I mentioned taking a break to work on other projects, so I’ve attached a few photos of the things I’ve been creating while I recharge and find my words. Thanks for checking in. More news soon, I hope. 🙂
